The people behind your care

Our team is small by design. Every provider you see at Harvard Square Chiropractic gives you their full attention for the full appointment. You'll see the same provider at each visit — no re-explaining yourself, just personalized care. Here's who you'll be working with.

Dr. Patrick Doody, DC

Founder & Chiropractor

Dr. Doody founded Harvard Square Chiropractic in 2009 after six years as an associate at practices across the Greater Boston area — and after his own experience as a patient changed the direction of his career. A severe disc injury during his undergraduate years introduced him to a chiropractor who made surgery unnecessary. That outcome stuck with him.

Patrick earned his B.S. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. He's a certified Graston Technique provider and specializes in running injuries, athletic injuries, repetitive strain, and postural issues — including the occupational wear that comes from long hours at a desk. His whole-person approach means he's looking for underlying causes, not just the symptom you came in with.

When he's not in the office, Patrick is somewhere in the country running a half marathon. He's working through all 50 states. He's also coached youth football, soccer, and basketball. And if you ask, he might tell you about the dogs and goats (yes, goats!) he has at home.

Specialties: Running injuries · Athletic injuries · Repetitive strain · Postural care · Disc conditions · Graston Technique

Dr. Sean Bradshaw, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Bradshaw came to chiropractic through athletic training — and that path shows in how he practices. He earned his degree in Athletic Training from MCLA, where he was a student-athlete on the men's soccer team, and went on to become a Board Certified Athletic Trainer before pursuing his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Northeast College of Health Sciences. He was inducted into Phi Chi Omega for academic excellence while there.

Sean holds certifications in advanced sports science, human performance, and whole food nutrition, and brings a wide toolkit to each visit: soft tissue mobilization, cupping, pin and stretch, and other manual techniques alongside chiropractic adjustments. He's an evidence-based practitioner who stays current, and he draws on his own athletic background to understand what patients are asking of their bodies — and what it takes to get them back to doing it.

Outside of work, he's an avid golfer and keeps himself active across a range of sports, including soccer and chasing after his dog, Finn.

Specialties: Sports injuries · Soft tissue mobilization · Cupping · Athletic performance · Evidence-based practice

Alyson Hope

Stretch Therapist

Alyson brings a background you won't find at most chiropractic practices. She holds a Master's and Doctorate in Physician Assistant Studies and Medical Science, with a focus on recovery and rehabilitation — and has spent over a decade working at the intersection of healthcare and movement as both a clinician and yoga professional.

Her approach to stretch therapy is whole-person and highly individualized, shaped by additional training in neuromuscular health, pain care, and trauma-sensitive practice. Sessions can include hands-on assisted stretching, prop-based work, or guided stretching without hands-on contact — whatever works best for your body, your comfort level, and what you're working through. Alyson's own experience recovering from injury informs how she shows up for patients: with patience, curiosity, and zero assumptions about what "progress" is supposed to look like.

If you have questions during a session — about what she's doing, why, or whether something feels right — ask them. That's not an interruption. That's the whole point.

In addition to her passion for helping others stay mobile, Alyson enjoys arts and crafts, reading, and taking her elderly dog, Winnie, on walks. She's always on the lookout for local recommendations.

Specialties: Assisted stretch therapy · Neuromuscular health · Pain care · Trauma-sensitive practice · Injury recovery · Yoga

Availability: Wednesdays 2–6pm and Fridays 11am–3pm at our Harvard Square location.

Stretch therapy sessions are self-pay. See our Insurance & Rates page for current pricing.

Whitney Luken

Practice Manager

Whitney is the first person you'll hear from when you contact Harvard Square Chiropractic — and the reason everything behind the scenes runs as smoothly as it does. She came to the practice from a 15+ year career as a Project, Program, and Operations Manager in the publishing and biotech industries. (She also managed one of Boston's busiest yoga studios.) The result is someone who's equally comfortable navigating insurance complexities and making a new patient feel like they've been coming here for years.

She's dedicated to making every interaction with the practice — whether it's your first phone call or your fiftieth visit — feel straightforward and human.

Outside the office, Whitney is hiking her way through all 48 of New Hampshire's 4,000 Footers, running, traveling, or at home with her partner and their two cats, Puffin and Squirrel.
