Our Massage Therapist is highly educated and experienced in a wide variety of treatment techniques. She takes a medically oriented therapeutic approach to providing massage. Her extensive clinical knowledge allows her to quickly identify your problem areas and successfully treat a multitude of conditions. While massage is a wonderful technique to bring about relaxation and a reduction in stress, it is increasingly utilized by people for treatment of muscular strains and pain due to postural abnormalities such as prolonged computer use and office work. Health care providers are increasingly promoting the benefits of massage to their patients.
Lazara Caridad Lugo, LMT
Born in New York City, her parents moved to Massachusetts as a child. Lazara learned about caring for herself and others; the idea of pursuing a career for wellness became her passion. After completing her studies at Elizabeth Grady's School of Esthetics and Massage Therapy, she became an Esthetician & Massage therapist.
Lazara believes in self care and spiritual connection of the being. She cares and loves people (as well as animals). She feels "that stress is a part of life, we just need to know how to care for ourselves". She focuses on the problematic areas, doing deep tissue massages, Swedish massages, and sports massages.
Having undergone a major stroke, Lazara had to relearn to live life as an adult; this includes reading, writing, speech and how to properly move her body again. In this relearning process, Lazara found massage therapy as a means to give back to society.
Outside of work she enjoys being a mother of three. She is also furthering her career at North Shore Community College.
